My story

Places teach us how to see.

I’m a Conservation Architect from India, now living and raising a curious family in the Pacific Northwest.

India → Pacific Northwest

An architect’s eye,
changed by motherhood.

My training in heritage conservation taught me that buildings are never only buildings. They hold craft, climate, memory, power, and the everyday lives of people who care for them.

I grew up in India, surrounded by layered cities, living traditions, and many ways of making place. Today I live in the Pacific Northwest, where forests meet water and family walks often become field trips.

Motherhood changed the height of my gaze. I began noticing handrails, hiding places, picture-book maps, small doors, and the questions children ask before adults teach them what matters.

Architectmata grew from that shift. I create thoughtful resources that help children discover places through stories, books, observation, art, and unhurried exploration—while giving parents and educators an easy place to begin.
